In 2002 a group of farmers and business people from the Salinas Valley recognized the lack of quality seed products and services available for organic and sustainable agriculture. From the
beginning, AgriCoat™ was committed to producing quality organic products and services that were equal, or better in performance than more toxic counterparts. AgriCoat™ remained
committed to developing products that were mindful of their commitment to organic responsibility and passionate about proving that, with effort, naturally based products could provide results
demanded by the entire farming community.
In 2003, AgriCoat™ developed Natural II ®, NOP compliant materials and technology , that offers growers natural ingredients to improve seed germination, plant health and vigor by providing
nutrients directly to the seed. Natural II ® has quickly become one of the most recognizable names in the seed industry as it offers superior performance for both organic and conventional production on crops such as spinach, corn, peas, beans, chard, onions, brassicas, artichoke and mache.
Today, AgriCoat™ has expanded its facility to offer over 20,000 square feet of space for product
manufacturing, quality control labs, seed processing and customer storage that allows
AgriCoat™ to continue to deliver quality products and boast one of the fastest service turnaround times in the industry. The Natural II® technology and philosophy for reducing toxic inputs has lead to the development of new products that will be commercially available in early 2008.
